Marijuana (THC) Urine Screening Test Strip and Cassette
THC urine screening test kits are a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of Marijuana (THC) and its metabolites in human urine specimens at a cut-off concentration value of 50 ng/mL. THC drug rapid tests use selected monoclonal antibodies specific to THC to detect elevated levels of marijuana and its metabolites in urine specimens with high sensitivity and specificity. Our CE marked Marijuana test kits can be used as THC home-test devices for self-testing, and also can be used as a Point of Care Test (POCT) in circumstances such as preemployment screening.
Principle of THC Urine Test
One-step THC rapid tests are a one-step rapid immunoassay kit, based on the principle of competitive binding effect. When the concentration of the drug marijuana and its metabolites in urine sample is higher than the cut-off value of this Marijuana urine test kits (THC: 50 ng/mL), the drug and its metabolites will take all the binding sites on the testing line region on the membrane of the test strip, and leaving no sites to the reagent bound with colloidal gold particles, thus NO apparent line will emerge in the testing line region, indicating a positive result. In this case, there is only one pink line appear on the control region on the THC test strip, indicating a proper testing procedure has been followed. For samples in which the THC drug concentration is less than the cut-off value of the THC test kit, marijuana urine tests give a negative result: two lines appear in the test and control regions respectively.
