ACA Dot Assay Kits
Three test kits are provided in this ACA Dot filtration assay test series, used to detect Anti-cardiolipin Antibodies (ACA) respectively, including IgG, IgM and IgA, as an aid in the diagnosis of infertility.
ACA Dot Assay Kits are a series of in-vitro diagnostic test kits, including ACA IgM test kit, ACA IgG test kit and ACA IgA test kit, which are based on the principle of Dot Immuno Gold Filtration Assay; all these ACA IMMUNOASSAY KITS are intended to be used as an quick and convenient aid in the diagnosis of recurrent unexplained miscarriages and infertility. Also ACA level is also regularly measured before the process of in-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
Why ACA Testing Matter
The presence of ACA increases the risk of blood clots. When this happen to a pregnant women, the blood clots can affect placental vessels, cutting off the blood supply to the uterus and fetus, making it difficult to survive inside the uterus. It is estimated, the live birth rate is about 40% lower for the ACA positive pregnant women; and account for about 30% of infertility cases. There are three different types of ACA, including IgG, IgM, and IgA. The presence of ACA IgM antibody strongly predicts the occurrence of recurrent miscarriages, thus make it a better indicator of pregnancy outcome than IgG and IgA.
ACA Brings Disorders
Anti-cardiolipin antibodies (ACA) are antibodies specific to cardiolipin, which can be classified as IgG, IgM and IgA. They are found to be connected with several diseases, including antiphospholipid syndrome, livedoid vasculitis, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, Behcet's syndrome, idiopathic spontaneous abortion and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). ACA IgG-type positive may indicate that patients with cerebral thrombosis; it also result in spontaneous abortion.
